Sales growth in Russia by 6% to 9465 units
In 2025, the Chinese automaker Voyah increased sales in Russia by 5.9%, selling 9,465 cars based on new energy sources (NEV). The brand took second place in the overall rating of the Russian NEV market with a share of 15.9%. TAdviser got acquainted with this data in January 2026.
According to the press service of the Chinese automaker, the Voyah brand retained its leading position in several segments. The main sales volume was provided by the Voyah Free crossover: 7,729 units were registered, which is 6% more than in 2024. With a result of 1,336 registered cars, the Voyah Dream minivan formed and led the premium NEV MPV segment in Russia. The Voyah Passion hybrid sedan, which appeared at dealers in late September 2025, found 396 buyers in less than four months.
In December 2025, the brand set a record monthly figure of 1,590 registrations, up 34% from the result in November. Andrey Reznikov, managing partner of Voyah importer in Russia, linked success with customer confidence in innovative technologies and brand design.
Other key growth factors include the development of a dealer network (more than 55 car dealerships), participation in state programs of concessional lending and leasing, as well as special offers under the trade-in program. All models sold through official dealers are guaranteed for 5 years or 100 thousand km.
Entering the structure of Dongfeng Motor in the status of a premium brand of "smart" electric vehicles and hybrids, Voyah reached a historic milestone, becoming the first state-owned automaker in China, whose total production exceeded 300 thousand units of equipment.
Sales of the Voyah brand in the domestic market of China at the end of 2025 amounted to 150,169 cars, which is 87% higher than the previous year. The company, which is a premium manufacturer of smart electric vehicles and hybrids within the Dongfeng Motor concern, set an industry record, becoming the first state auto brand whose total production exceeded 300,000 units. Sales dynamics show steady growth, with 19,400 vehicles sold in 2022 and more than 150,000 sold in 2025.[1]
Closing of sales of electric vehicles in Russia
In May 2025, Voyah said it was winding down sales of electric cars and had no plans to deliver them. The company clarified that despite the interest in fully electric cars in the Russian Federation, most motorists prefer hybrids, which are a kind of bridge for switching from a car from an internal combustion engine to a model with an electrical installation. Therefore, Voyah will focus on the hybrids that the company produces at the Motorinvest plant in the Lipetsk region.[2]
2022: Entering the Russian market
In November 2022, the Chinese premium electric vehicles Voyah entered the Russian market. Lipetsk Motorinvest became the official importer of these cars. 15 dealer contracts signed.
As of November 24, 2022, only one brand model, Voyah Free, has been presented on the Russian Voyah website so far. It is argued that the range will be enough for 500 km (battery capacity - 103 kW) and that you can charge the battery from 20% to 80% at 120 kW in 30 minutes.
The equipment list includes three monitors in the front panel with a diagonal of 12.3 inches each, a Dynaudio audio system with ten speakers, wireless charging, a system of all-round cameras, an automatic parking assistant, adaptive cruise control with road sign recognition systems, markings and traffic assistant in traffic jams, driver fatigue control system, night vision system, various collision prevention systems under various scenarios.

The cost of Voyah Free on the Russian market by November 24, 2022 has not been announced. In China, the price of an electric car starts at 313,600 yuan (about 2.6 million rubles).
According to Autoreview, unofficial dealers have a Voyah Free price in other versions of about 6.4 million rubles: the guarantee in this case will be either a dealer, or it will not be at all. In 2023, Motorinvest will also bring premium Voyah Dreamer electric minivans to Russia. Unofficial suppliers are ready to accept an order for such a car, the price is 10 million rubles.[3]
