At the end of November 2022, the Moscow company Diagnostics-M presented a compact X-ray apparatus for examining people outside medical institutions. The product was named "Miran."

The device is transferred in a transport case and assembled at the diagnostic site in three minutes, said Vladislav Ovchinsky, head of the Department of Investment and Industrial Policy of the city of Moscow, which is part of the Complex of Economic Policy and Property and Land Relations of the capital.

Miran is powered by its own batteries, has AC chargers and an automotive voltage converter. According to the developers, for the first time, a tablet computer as part of the device provides all the functions of an automated laboratory assistant's workplace, including filling out a patient's card, processing a picture and transmitting research data.

It is noted that the device can work at subzero temperatures, so it is convenient to use it in the Russian climate. The apparatus can also be used for X-ray diagnostics of animals. The company can produce 20 such devices per month. The device consists entirely of Russian materials and components. Its cost by the end of November 2022 has not been announced.

Miran is planned to be produced in two versions - for work on a tripod or without it. The start of production of the device is scheduled for 2023. Previously, the manufacturer will have to conduct all tests and obtain registration at Roszdravnadzor.[1]
