At the sites, students of the lyceum will study both the theoretical foundations of disciplines, and prototyping and design, as well as prepare for participation in all-Russian and international competitions and competitions.

According to the company, as of November 2022, the Cyril and Methodius Lyceum teaches children from grade 8 to 11 in four profiles - physical, mathematical/technological, humanitarian, natural science and socio-economic. Since September 2022, the Smolensky Olympus Regional Center for the Identification, Support and Development of Abilities and Talents in Children and Youth began to operate on the basis of the Lyceum. But even before the opening of the center, educational shifts were often held at the lyceum. Their participants - guys from different parts of the Smolensk region - have repeatedly become winners of the All-Russian competition "Big Challenges," which is traditionally held on the basis of "Sirius," in particular, creating projects in the direction of "Space Technologies." The regional center is designed to become a platform for unlocking the creative potential of gifted children, their support and escort. On its basis, students will be trained in the following profiles: "Science," "Art" and "Sport." Equipment for the work of two laboratories in the areas of "Alternative energy sources" and "Space technologies" was selected and supplied by Softline Group of Companies, a supplier of solutions and services in the field of digital transformation and information security.

Training in our laboratories "Alternative energy sources" and "Space technologies" should be carried out on special equipment, so it was important for us to find IT a partner competent in such a specific area. The Softline team selected suitable solutions for organizing an effective educational process at our sites - we assessed both detailed consultations and the shortest possible delivery of high-tech devices. Among them are educational stands for studying an alternative, power engineering specialists using which high school students will be able to get acquainted with breakthrough directions in this area, such as hydrogen fuel cells, wave and thermoelectric generators and modern energy storage systems, including redox batteries. And for students in grades 7-9, the greatest interest is the training sets for project activities and competitions (for example, to participate in the competition "First Element," the purpose of which is to create operating vehicles driven using hydrogen fuel cells). Using data devices, students will be able to study various spacecraft and applied space systems, work on engineering cases, design and create mock-ups of rockets and satellites, learn modern approaches and directions of alternative power, carry out projects related to geological exploration, environmental control, ecology agriculture , etc. All this will contribute to unlocking the potential of our students, because it will be easy and interesting for them to engage in project activities, research work, develop team skills and create promising developments.
