2022: Optimisation of Wholesale, Warehouse and Retail Store Operations

UNAIZ has optimized the Wholesale, Warehouse and Retail Department with the 1C: Trade Management solution. This was announced by 1C-Rarus on November 28, 2022. Workstations have been automated, additional equipment has been installed and configured, and business processes for interacting with customers have been improved. As a result of the project, the speed of customer service increased by 2 times.

To audit the sales process, Uniize management contacted 1C-Rarus. It was decided to focus on optimizing the direction of wholesale sales and warehouse activities. The following areas of concern have been identified to implement improvements:

  • The use of manual entry of invoices when issuing wholesale sales. Errors and input delays leading to a lack of up-to-date accounting information.
  • Reassortment, difficulties in conducting an inventory.
  • Opaque use of loyalty programs.
  • The database does not contain up-to-date information on balances and accounts receivable.
  • Difficulties identification with wholesale customers.
  • Lack of analytics to make decisions.

1C: Trade Management 8 was chosen as the solution for automation of operational and management accounting, analysis and planning of trading operations, improving management efficiency.

Project results:

  • Peripheral equipment has been selected and installed for wholesale sales managers, automated workplaces for online paperwork have been organized.
  • The customer directories are in order. A mechanism has been developed for identifying wholesale customers by phone number with the ability to confirm by SMS.
  • You have set up a mechanism to monitor receivables. It became possible to quickly make a decision to ban the shipment of goods with a large debt of the client.
  • A structured cost guide has been developed, with the help of which you can assign the costs of the enterprise to the necessary items in the standard documents "1C: Trade Management 8." Standard configuration reports are used to obtain summary information on costs.
  • You have configured a system to restrict user access to data. Wholesale and retail directories are separated.
  • The warehouses delivered, set up and integrated data collection terminals (shipping documentation) for the quick and accurate execution of goods movement documents and developed tools for recording and recording inventory results in the system.
  • You have set up a mechanism to automatically provide discounts for marketing promotions in both wholesale and retail.
  • In the retail direction, additional trading equipment was selected and delivered, configuration and integration with information systems was carried out. The cashier's workplace interface has been optimized to reduce retail customer service times.

During the implementation of 1C: Trade Management, the configuration was adapted and adjusted, as a result of trial operation, the stability of the functionality was confirmed, training was carried out for key employees.

Together with 1C-Rarus, sales were transferred to another level. And if earlier there was no understanding about the implementations of a specific counterparty, its receivables, the effectiveness of the loyalty program, then in November 2022 the number of errors in the information base decreased and the transparency of accounting increased. More precisely, work with the assortment became more accurate, the phenomena of reassortment decreased, the inventory began to take place faster. As a result of efficient automation of workplaces and due to the use of shipping documentation in warehouses, the speed of customer service has increased by 2 times,
