2024: Compatibility with SR1 Power and SR2 Power servers
Sila servers have confirmed compatibility with Basis software. The company was informed about this on November 14, 2024.
Received a certificate of compatibility between the SILA SR1 6326 and SILA SR2 6327 servers.
Tests conducted by Sila specialists confirmed that SILA SR1-6326 and SILA servers are SR2-6327 compatible with the Basis server virtualization platform, in particular, with its key elements - the Basis vCore type 1 hypervisor and the Basis vControl virtualization environment management software module.
POWER SR1-6326 (1U) and POWER SR2-6327 (2U) dual-processor rack servers are designed to solve a wide range of tasks in corporate information infrastructures of any scale. These general and specialized models are suitable for modern data centers and are designed for a large range of loads, including using GPU accelerators, as well as for building a data center with a high computation density per unit.
The SR1-6326 POWER and SR2-6327 POWER servers are suitable for web, DBMS and business communications applications, cloud computing, large data processing, demanding environments, artificial intelligence and graphics applications, as well as high-load computing clusters, scalable software-defined environments and many other tasks.
High fault tolerance, a well-developed network of service centers and ease of administration using our own solution "Power CUBE" allow you to maintain a high level of client experience at all stages of operation.

Confirmation of compliance with FSTEC requirements by level 4 of trust
On December 7, 2023, Basis announced the expansion of the FSTEC certificate of Russia to Basiz.Virtual Security, including the functions of Basiz.Dynamix and Basiz.vCore. Read more here.
Extend product functionality in virtual resource management
On June 13, 2023, Basis announced the release of an update for the package of solutions for the IT enterprise infrastructure virtualization system Basiz.vCore. In the updated version, the developers have significantly expanded the functionality of the product in the field of virtual resource management, hypervisors, optimized the performance of all processes, and also made changes to existing functionality to optimize the quality of user experience with the product.
According to the company, since the release of the last update, the developers have made a number of global changes to the operation of the Basic hypervisor. VCore version 1.3: the I/O performance of the disk subsystem has increased by 30%, and the size of the output image of the hypervisor has been reduced by 20%. The architecture was deeply redesigned and optimized the stability and performance of the hypervisor GUI, the logging system was redesigned, all system libraries, kernel and hypervisor components were updated. The interface and hypervisor components were also redesigned. The updated version has the ability to bulk delete virtual machines and the function of manually configuring the parameters of the virtual machine's CPU topology.
Additional features have been added to Basiz.vCore. The user can now control the state of the hypervisor (turn off, turn on, reboot in the parameters), it became possible to preview and use snapshots (snapshots) of virtual machines, tools were added to create a template based on the virtual machine and virtual machine from the template, and add TPM devices for virtual machines. Also, system operators can now carry out the process of initializing and preparing virtual machines using sysprep and cloud-init.
There were management capabilities - combining a management network into a bond, obtaining information on the occupied space in the storages, as well as starting a virtual machine with time parameters and configurations valid until the next machine reboot.
data Storage and virtual security customizations were introduced, processor adding central QoS policy settings, storage and network interfaces for compute nodes, and the ability to use a BasicVirtual Security virtualization environment as a certified protection.
The Basis team has done a lot of work to develop its own hypervisor Basiz.vCore. An updated functionality has appeared in the graphical interface of the hypervisor, allowing you to receive information about virtual machines that act on the computing node, and control their state. The ability to view event logs of the main hypervisor subsystems, upload event logs to external removable media were added. Connection settings are optimized - managing and displaying the status of the vCore Agent service, configuring VLAN ID for the network interface, creating bonds from hypervisor network interfaces, and installing the hypervisor on Fibre Channel and software-raid disks.
As of June 2023, vCore has the ability to collaborate with all products from the Basis ecosystem, including BasisVirtual Security, which provides information security for the virtualization environment, and also with BasisWorkplace, designed to build virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI) and virtual applications (vApp). Work is underway to ensure compatibility of Basiz.vCore with domestic antivirus and backup products for virtual environments. explained Dmitry Sorokin, technical director of Basis |
"Basis" also announced plans for the development of the product for 2023. In future releases, developers plan to expand the functionality of high availability mechanisms at the levels of control nodes, hypervisors and virtual machines, to optimize the performance of the hypervisor when working with hardware resources of server platforms and disk subsystems. In the future, the product will include the ability to dynamically manage virtual resources and devices, integrate with the BasicDynamiX cloud orchestrator, and expand the functionality and performance of the BasicVCore and BasicWorkplace bundle.
Found.vCore is a comprehensive enterprise virtualization software IT infrastructures suite that allows you to centrally manage server capacity, optimally allocate resources, storage systems efficiently build network interactions within virtual ones data centers , and monitor the clouds state as a whole, while ensuring the optimal level of security, availability, and scalability of the company's IT landscape. Over the past two years, the Basiz.vCore software complex has reached an optimal level of development, which allows it to be used in small and medium-sized installations, as well as in hardware and software systems. added Viktor Strelkov, Director of Product Development "Basis" |
2022: Release of the first version of the software complex Basiz.vCore
On November 28, 2022, Basis announced the release of the first version of the universal software complex Basiz.vCore for virtualization of the enterprise IT infrastructure, which includes a hybrid hypervisor (1 + type) of its own design. Basic. VCore is fully adapted for Russian manufacturers.
According to the company, Basiz.vCore is a universal software complex for virtualizing the enterprise IT infrastructure, which allows you to centrally manage server capacity, optimally allocate storage resources, build network interactions within virtual data centers and track the state of the cloud as a whole, while ensuring the optimal level of security, availability and scalability of the company's IT landscape.
We started developing our own hypervisor 2 years ago. It was supposed to be the main foundation of our ecosystem - the basic element of virtualization for all our solutions. In addition, our hypervisor should have been compatible with domestic hardware complexes, like Baikal, Elbrus, and at the same time not inferior in efficiency indicators to foreign counterparts, for example, VMvare. told David Martirosov , General Director of "Basis" |
The product is suitable for implementation data centers in both large telecom operators and corporate operators of state DPC various sizes. The availability of integration interfaces for Basiz.vCore will allow deploying infrastructures, virtual desktops automated development stands and. testings
The first version of the product includes a centralized management system that allows you to manage the life cycle, virtual machines ensure their availability, control the disposal of computing resources, monitor to store and information about user and system events, provide integration with external systems by API and provide services in the Infrastructure as Service format.
The product package includes a 1 + hypervisor of its own design, which is responsible for emulation and virtualization of hardware resources, compatibility with server platforms and storage systems. The Basic vCore hybrid hypervisor provides support for a wide range of guest operating systems based on Windows and Linux, and performance and scalability indicators are comparable to foreign counterparts. A distinctive feature of the Basic.vCore hypervisor is the built-in graphical administration console, which allows you to obtain information about the state of the computing node and manage the main hardware and software components.
We consider the priority areas for Basiz.vCore to be further denser integration with domestic hardware platforms as they develop, as well as backup, monitoring, anti-virus protection and other products in the areas of virtualization and information security. added David Martirosov |
