MISiS: Student Technology Entrepreneurship Platform

The NUST MISIS student technological entrepreneurship platform is an opportunity for large companies to test their innovative hypotheses, test the technological aspects of projects and create developments by student research interdisciplinary teams. 2022: Platform Launch

The University MISIS has launched the Student Technological Entrepreneurship Platform - a platform where students will be able to fulfill technological orders from industrial partners using the infrastructure and scientifically research base of the university. As a result, companies will receive scalable digital, engineering and product solutions with the prospect of commercialization, students - the opportunity to enter the market with a demanded product, receive support for refinement or help with finding potential investors. The University announced this on December 2, 2022.

It is good that we are starting to think about entrepreneurship and technological entrepreneurship within universities, because this is what is missing: economics, a different approach, interaction. And the Platform will enable businesses and universities to start communicating as equal partners who can bring value to the common cause, said Daria Kiryanova, Deputy Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation.

The peculiarity of the NUST MISIS Student Technological Entrepreneurship Platform is that partners themselves come to the university with real cases. This is an opportunity for already established, experienced teams to offer their solution, which will be in demand. All students who registered on the Platform and take part in solving business problems will receive full-fledged educational support: additional courses, master classes, lectures. For each participant, an individual educational trajectory will be formed that favors the solution of the task. Students can present the best solutions in the format of "Startup as a diploma" or "Project as a diploma" to protect the graduation qualification work.

Projects and solutions developed by students, but not supported by customers, will be finalized with the help of experts, for further search for investors, submission of applications for grants and competitions.
