2003-2018
Daria Kiryanova joined Intel in 2003 as a project manager, then headed the operational service of two offices of the company, in Nizhny Novgorod and Sarov. She took the position of Intel COO in Russia and Scandinavia in 2007.
In December 2018, Daria Kiryanova, Chief Operating Officer of Intel Corporation in Russia and Scandinavia, was also appointed CEO of Intel Technologies LLC and Intel A/O JSC. Daria will retain her previous responsibilities and continue to manage Intel's operations in Russia and Scandinavia.
2022: Appointment of the Deputy Head of the Ministry of Education and Science responsible for digital development
In early October 2022, Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin signed a decree appointing Daria Kiryanova as the new Deputy Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation. The Ministry of Education and Science clarified that Kiryanova will oversee the work of the Department of Digital Development and the Department for the Development of Technological Entrepreneurship and Technology Transfer.
The department also noted that for about 20 years Daria Kiryanova worked in the field of digital technologies, including in senior positions at Intel. The last place of work before being appointed to the post of deputy head of the Ministry of Education and Science is Deputy General Director for Economic Development of the Far East and Arctic Development Corporation.
Daria Kiryanova will deal with the digital development of the Ministry of Education and Science against the background of how the department is implementing a strategy for the digital transformation of science and higher education. The strategy covers five main areas:
- Architecture of digital transformation - development of unified integrated approaches to digital transformation in the field of science and higher education.
- Development of digital services - development of services covering all types of business processes of OSW and aimed at meeting the needs of all participants in the educational process.
- Data Management - Manage and improve data quality for decision making.
- Infrastructure modernization - the formation of conditions and mechanisms that will be aimed at maintaining ICT infrastructure that meets modern technical and technological requirements in a timely manner;
- Talent management - the formation of digital competencies that allow industry employees to maximize the potential of modern technologies.[1]
