2022: Delivery by ElarScan S1
ElarSkan S1, a domestic planetary scanning complex, has appeared at the Belovsky Museum and Exhibition Center. This was announced on December 7, 2022 by ELAR (Electronic Archive, NGO Experience).
In the funds of UIA "Belovsky Museum and Exhibition Center," which includes the Vernissage Gallery, the Museum of Local Lore and the Shakhtar Glory Museum, a large number of archival materials are stored: letters, photographs, diaries. All of them require careful and high-quality digitization, the museum notes.
Many of the stored documents with losses, and here the function of partial recovery of losses in the processing of documents is very important for us, "said Irina Anatolyevna Bogacheva, deputy director for scientific work. - The format of the scanned document is also very important for us. The ability to scan documents is not only A1, but also A0. Posters, drawings, sketches, maps - now we have the opportunity to show many wonderful documents in full, not divided into parts by a camera or scanner. Digitization of book and album editions will create a complete electronic library on the history of our city and enterprises. |
Among the most significant exhibits to be digitized at ElarSkan are front-line letters - very fragile, sometimes with hard-to-see text blurred from wet storage conditions. The specialists of the institution are sure that it is very important to preserve them as evidence of the era and a vivid example of love for the Motherland.
ElarScan is reliability, delicate contactless scanning, careful attitude to the document, the quality of the final product - said Irina Anatolyevna Bogacheva. - It is also important that this is a Russian company that guarantees the technical support of scanning equipment and software. |
High-quality digitized documents will make it possible for employees of the institution to work with them as part of the research activities of the Belovsky Museum and Exhibition Center. Digitized documents are planned to be included in exhibition projects in cases where it is impossible to use original documents for exhibitions and screenings.
