A humanoid robot appeared at the Moscow Regional Research Clinical Institute named after M.F. Vladimirsky (MONICA), performing the functions of a patient and an independent expert. The press service of the Ministry of Health of the Moscow Region announced this on December 13, 2022.
Developed by Virtumed, the robot recreates the patient's behavior at the appointment to the smallest detail, including emotions - smiles, sad, surprised, angry, blinks and maintains eye contact. Also, the robot recognizes speech, can identify the personality of the interlocutor and recognize his emotions thanks to the built-in camera. At the end of each attempt, the subject receives results with statistics and tips for improving outcomes.
As noted by the Dean of the Faculty of Advanced Medical Studies of MONIKA named after M.F. Vladimirsky Tatyana Chernyavskaya, VirtuBot greatly simplifies the organization of the assessment of a large number of subjects in various specialties. It reproduces any script from a vast library unmistakably and accurately, while a person, even as a high-end actor, can get tired or forget something. The robot not only conducts a dialogue according to a given scenario, but also sums up the results of the conversation at the end of the reception. The system assesses communication skills, the correctness of diagnosis, appointments and referrals for further examinations, she added.
The new robot has many scenarios for various pathologies, as well as the ability to create your own scenarios for any clinical topics. In the process of work, he analyzes a conversation with a doctor and assesses how accurately diagnosed and prescribed treatment. It also has a self-learning sensorineural network, which allows expanding dialogues and communication topics, "said Svetlana Strigunkova, First Deputy Prime Minister of the Moscow Region.[1] |
