2022: Integration of IVA MCU video conferencing system and RTU platform-based PBX network

Hi-Tech Integration, SATEL and IVA Technologies have completed the creation of a digital unified communications platform for the Ministry of Construction of Russia. This was announced on December 19, 2022 by SATEL. The department needed a unified communication environment that ensures effective interaction of employees with each other. It was supposed to fully replace the previous solution, built on the products of Avaya, which completely ceased its activities in Russia. During the project, the video conferencing system IVA MCU and the PBX network based on the RTU platform were integrated.

Several aspects were highlighted in the planned project activities. It was necessary to ensure seamless integration of the RTU platform (developed by SATEL) with the IVA MCU VKS services (developed by IVA Technologies), as well as uninterrupted operation for existing subscribers of the telephone network of the Ministry of Construction of Russia. Due to the fact that until the moment of full readiness for commissioning of this solution, the continuous functioning of the previously operating PBX remained, the transition to the RTU platform took place unnoticed by the departments of the department.

The RTU unified communications platform is a multi-component solution that can be used to implement a large range of communication services and services. Possible options include voice assistants and chatbots, a messenger for various types of online communications, collaboration programs, speech recognition solutions, etc. This multifunctionality maximizes the scope of RTU. In addition, RTU quickly adapts to the customer's IT landscape, so in this project it was possible to modernize the telephone communication networks and at the same time maintain the continuous operation of the previously operating PBX, which was especially important for the Ministry of Construction of Russia. said Roman Romanov, Deputy General Director for Development of SATEL.

During the commissioning phase, SATEL's technicians paid increased attention to checking the readiness of all components infrastructures of the solution being implemented. After integrating the PBX into the customer's network, it became possible to create and configure subscriber accounts and service subscriber services. Up to 700 subscribers can be connected to the PBX. Given the flexible possibilities of scaling the RTU platform, in the future it is possible to increase the number of users up to 200 thousand subscribers.

The project carried out for the Ministry of Construction of Russia is a vivid example of how you can replace foreign products with the help of Russian solutions without losing the system as services and functionality.
