MTS developed for JSC Water and Sewage and Power Engineering"" Nizhnekamsk a technical solution based on the network, NB-IoT which allows to establish a system of resource control in real mode, time as well as for the prompt prevention of accidents. As a result, the company managed to optimize infrastructure maintenance costs and improve the quality of service delivery to customers, reducing the time to repair damage on networks. The company MTS announced this on December 27, 2022.

The MTS digital solution helps the water utility track pressure drops on networks, quickly detect places of possible accidents and identify illegal consumption at the site. Measurement, recording and transmission of water level readings in tanks and other utilities of the enterprise are performed automatically with a given frequency. Data from devices is transmitted online over the NB-IoT network and analyzed by the system using Big Data, which allows you to compare meter readings for different periods and identify emergency situations. The system receives data from several dozen control sensors installed on the networks of the Nizhnekamsk Vodokanal.

All information is instantly analyzed and promptly transmitted to responsible employees and dispatchers through the channels chosen by the enterprise, including via SMS, instant messengers or e-mail. Specialists can monitor the flow of water through their personal account on the MTS platform in real time, and, if necessary, quickly go to a specific location where a problem was detected, without spending a lot of time looking for the accident site. The Digital Vodokanal system itself notifies about problem areas in water supply, which helps to minimize the company's infrastructure maintenance costs and direct funds to subsequent automation of work processes.
