Biography

Polina Kitsenko was born on April 14, 1975. She graduated from the Law Faculty of the International University, Bachelor of Law.

1997 - Specialist of the Department of Payment Cards of a Commercial Bank.

1999 - Managing Director, Creative Director and shareholder of the multi-brand department store Podium. Together with her husband, an official of Rosvooruzheniya[1] and the owner of the first Podium boutique on Novinsky Boulevard, Eduard Kitsenko, Polina developed couture clothing retailers. Stores ordered fashion collections from abroad, presenting new world brands in Russia.

2000-2010 - with the participation of Polina Kitsenko, a network of outlets was opened under the Podium brand.

2010-2011 - against the company Podium, which by this time was clearly associated with Polina Kitsenko, lawsuits were brought by counterparties. Suppliers of goods presented in department stores of the Podium chain demanded to pay for their products. The media learned about debts to counterparties of the company. After making public several financial conflicts between the owner of Podium and suppliers, Polina Kitsenko paid part of the debts.

2011-2012 - Podium did not fulfill its financial obligations to counterparties from September 2011 to May 2012. Polina and Eduard Kitsenko also stopped paying off the loan provided by Rosbank.

May 2012 - Podium was declared bankrupt. Immediately after the liquidation of the network, the Kitsenko spouses created a new company - Podium Market - and opened the department store of the same name in the Moscow Hotel.

2012-2016 - 23 claims were filed against Podium Market for non-payment of debts to counterparties, suppliers and landlords. Data on the financial problems of Polina Kitsenko's company began to appear in the media.

2015 - information appeared that Polina Kitsenko, together with Natalya Vodyanova, became the organizer of the Running Hearts charity race. Since then, it has been held annually, all the funds earned are poisoned in the Naked Hearts Children's Fund. Later, Polina Kitsenko was accused of plagiarism: allegedly, the project was transformed from the Sberbank corporate race, which was first held in 2012.

2016 - 2017 - the number of lawsuits against the Podium Market has increased significantly and totaled 71 claims. The total amount of claims against Polina Kitsenko and her husband, according to various sources, ranged from 1 to 1.5 billion rubles.

2017 - Stockmann JSC (Russian operator of the Finnish retailer Stockmann) became interested in the buyout of several department stores Podium Market. The parties entered into 10 transactions, their total amount amounted to 105 million rubles.

June 2018 - A bankruptcy case was filed against Podium Market. Polina Kitsenko announced that she was leaving retail. The parent company of Podium Market was renamed the Atlas investment and production company. At the same time, Polina Kitsenko created a communication agency engaged in event management, digital marketing and PR.

2019 - Polina Kitsenko rented a room in Luzhniki and opened the# SlimFitClub sports club. She also took up the organization of fitness travel.

2020 - former suppliers of the Podium Market continue to demand from Polina Kitsenko to return them money for the goods provided. Among the victims are Yana Raskovalova's Yana brand (debt amount - 30 million rubles), the Odri brand led by Russian Ambassador Yana Rudkovskaya (debt amount - 4 million rubles), as well as Oh, my, Denimes + Cobalt and Tegin Fashion House.

2022 - as part of a trial between Atlas and Stockmann JSC at the end of 2022, the Moscow Arbitration Court invalidated the transaction to sell the Sodium Market business to the Stockmann network. According to the verdict, the whole business was allegedly bought, and not part of the assets. The defendant is required to pay another 1.69 million rubles for the entire enterprise. Stockmann has filed an appeal, a new hearing in the case is scheduled for January 2023.
