In early January 2023, a startup from South Korea 10minds introduced a smart Motion Pillow that can recognize. snore The device adjusts the position of the human head so that snoring stops.

The smart pillow uses machine learning to analyze snoring during sleep and adjust the position of the head to reduce it. Over time, Motion Pillow adjusts to the owner, improving its profile. The product description on Amazon states that the company recommends setting a high level of sensitivity during the first two weeks of use so that the pillow has enough time to recognize and study the sound of snoring in the most different situations.

For tracking, Motion Pillow has a special unit that is equipped with lasers and microphones, they monitor when the user starts snoring. After that, the unit gives a signal so that the pillow changes configuration. If snoring subsides, the pillow deflates. Inside there are 4 sections with separate inflatable elements. Depending on the position of the head, the desired section is filled with air. It is claimed that 93% of users felt a decrease in snoring in clinical trials.

According to user James Franco, after testing with his wife for about a week, James reported that her snoring not only decreased in volume, but also in frequency. The Motion Pillow device detects snoring and then magically inflates air bags inside a memory foam pillow to slightly lift the snoring head and prevent or reduce snoring.

The development won the 2023 Consumer Technology Association Innovation Award. On Amazon, its price is $378, but as of January 11, 2023, it is no longer available.^[1]
