2023: Creation of the "Center" for the search for workers using artificial intelligence

The Perm Polytechnic reported on January 17, 2023 that university scientists taught artificial intelligence to search for new employees.

The rapid development of communication systems and technologies generates non-standard professions or forces the transformation of old ones. In this regard, the search for specialists in current general vacancies is complicated by the fact that there is not yet a clear structure of the requirements for applicants. Scientists of the Perm Polytechnic University have built an artificial intelligence model that will carry out the procedure for choosing candidates for current professions and will avoid the human factor from the human resources department.

Anna Salamatina, senior lecturer at the Department of Construction Engineering and Materials Science at Perm Polytechnic, also worked on the technology. According to polytechnics, the most popular are employees who have knowledge in a number of related areas, respectively, the process of selecting such personnel must be carried out using another technology that will take into account the candidate's professional skills at the junction of humanitarian and technical disciplines.

At the initial stage of candidate selection, it is necessary to identify the needs of the organization, it is also the "Center." Here the functionality is determined and a list of requirements for a specialist is formed, a description of the vacancy is created. At the same time, in order to test the knowledge of future employees, HR departments, together with company specialists, develop test tasks, during which you can conclude that the candidate is competent. At the same time, these tasks have a different level of complexity and are aimed at identifying different qualities,

At the next stage, the artificial intelligence model selects applicants according to their comprehensive assessment for all parameters. This model will be the basis for the selection of specialists, however, if necessary, the request can be adjusted by the "Center."

The proposed flexible algorithm of the artificial intelligence model allows you to adjust requirements for market requests. The use of the model will allow you to objectively assess or compare candidates, determine strengths and weaknesses, and identify directions of development. AI correction allows you to adapt to changes in the requirements for candidates and the requirements of the field of activity as a whole,
said Valery Kharitonov, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor of the Department of Construction Engineering and Materials Science.

The technology will allow human resources department representatives to reduce the time to select suitable candidates for the position, to avoid the negative aspects of subjectivism manifested in the teams. In addition, the technology will make it possible to avoid the human factor.
