Hein Schumacher has been appointed the new CEO of Unilever, who will replace Alan Jope in this post. The company announced this on January 30, 2023.

Jope in September 2022 announced his intention to retire. The company notes that after a "comprehensive global search," it decided to appoint Schumacher as CEO, who became a non-executive director of Unilever in October 2022. In addition, Hein Schumacher holds the post of head of the global division of dairy and food Royal FrieslandCampina.
