2023: Testing a robot worker at a construction site

3Logic Group completed a pilot project during which four-support robots conducted quality control of construction work. This became known on February 3, 2023.

Software and robotics developers 3Logic Group, together with specialists from the mining company, tested a robot sample in creating 3D models of objects under construction. The customer noted the effectiveness of the robots and stressed that he was interested in using roboplatforms at construction sites.

The robot, controlled by 3Logic Group software, was used at a construction site in Tyumen. Scanning equipment was installed on it and sent along a given route. Robosobaka freely moved along stairs and premises, unlike wheeled platforms, easily overcoming obstacles. Scanning was carried out continuously. A 3D model of the object with an area of ​ ​ 2000 m ² was created in 12 minutes. A highly qualified surveyor takes up to 72 hours to complete. In addition, the deviation in the 3D model of the robot is no more than 2 cm.

As noted in the press service of the company, bionic robots can work at night, which makes them convenient for construction in polar night conditions.

In monitoring the construction, roboplatforms showed high accuracy in measurements and speed: the machine coped with geodetic work 360 times faster than a person. Software for navigating robots includes algorithmic machine learning. First, the movement of the robot guy along the route is controlled by a person through an application on OS Android. The operator controls the bypass of obstacles, stops, the passage of stairs, etc. Subsequently, thanks to machine learning technology, the robot acts autonomously[1].
