On February 9, 2023, it became known about the start of deliveries of "super brokers" to eliminate secret documents that are produced by the Novosibirsk radio parts plant "Oxide" (part of the holding "Roselectronics" of the state corporation "Rostec"). According to the developers, the devices provide the maximum level of protection for confidential information by cutting the media to the smallest fractions.

Oxide: Schroeder

Released shredders using a cross-cutting mechanism are able to grind paper documents to tiny fragments no more than 2.5 mm2 in size. It is impossible to restore the media from such fragments even using special software and hardware. The shredder can cut up to six sheets of standard density 80 g/m2 paper simultaneously at a cutting speed of 60 mm per second. The device is also capable of destroying plastic cards, CDs and DVDs.

The first such shredders were received by state departments, enterprises of the aircraft industry and Rostec organizations. The state corporation stressed that the device is made of Russian components.

As the general director of the NZR "Oxide" Lev Nosenko noted, compliance with strict confidentiality requirements is a prerequisite in the work of many enterprises and departments. According to him, the development of the plant in its characteristics meets the highest class of secrecy R-7 and therefore can be applied in law enforcement agencies, tax authorities, banks, industrial enterprises - wherever work is carried out with information representing state or commercial secrets. The shredder cuts the A4 sheet into more than 12,000 particles about the width of the ball pen stroke. After shredding, the document will no longer be able to return to its previous appearance and read, Nosenko added.[1]
