The devices accept recyclable materials for further processing using AI technologies, which make it possible to determine the type, quality and amount of recyclable materials handed over with an accuracy of more than 95%. This is the first and so far the only such application of the neural network in the industry in Russia, Ecopoint said in mid-February 2023. At these points, you can hand over: aluminum cans, plastic bottles and waste paper of all types. Developments are underway to receive glass and electrolyte.

In addition, machine vision detects fraud attempts and detects foreign objects, which allows you to select exceptional high-quality recyclable materials for further processing. The key partner of Ecopoint is EcoMir, a company specializing in the procurement of secondary raw materials and the construction of a network of receiving bases.

In November 2022, Russian President Vladimir Putin called for introducing artificial intelligence technology in all industries and developing its potential, Ecopoint recalled.
