10 vehicles of JSC Kola Mining and Metallurgical Company are equipped with the GLONASS/GPS system

110 vehicles of JSC Kola Mining and Metallurgical Company are equipped with the GLONASS/GPS system of monitoring of transport SCOUT. Equipment is carried out in affiliated enterprise Arktikavtotrans LLC - division which performs logistic processes and controls maintenance and repair of highways of holding.

Project Tasks: Reduce general consumption of fuel at the first stage at least by 25%, reduce cost value of services, ovysit competitiveness of the enterprise.

Thanks to a possibility of operational management of logistics motor transport run is reduced, fuel consumption is significantly cut and the discipline of driver's structure is increased. Based on Arktikavtotrans the group of specialists in monitoring of vehicles was created. Daily collection of information on idle times of cars and special equipment, fuel consumption, data of data on each route (for example, on the platform of the city of Monchegorsk their about 280) in specially developed tables for the analysis belongs to duties of employees. After obtaining information actions for decrease in cost value of transportations for each route are developed. All employees of group were trained to work with special operational providing SCOUT Explorer.

The first stage of equipment of motor transport working at industrial sites in Nickel and Polar was completed. Modules of monitoring equip cars UAZ, ZIL, KAMAZ, MAZ, KRAZ, Volvo, Scania, the road-building equipment of the DET, K-702, LIBHERR PR-751, Caterpillar-988H models, the NK-750YSL "KATO" crane, the PK-6 loader, Belaaza of different models, Michigan with L-320.

The SCOUT in Arktikavtotrans vehicle fleet is going to complete the second stage of implementation a GLONASS/GPS of a system until the end of the current year. By this time the equipment will equip the remained 80 machines of the enterprise servicing production capacities of the Monchegorsk industrial site. Both stages of equipping and personnel training are carried out by Sistemotekhnika-Service LLC company - the Partner of the system manufacturer SCOUT in Murmansk region.

In 2011 Arktikavtotrans is going to reduce general consumption of fuel by 25%. Eventually, use of a system the SCOUT will allow transport enterprise to reduce cost value of services and consequently, will make it more competitive.

The affiliated enterprise of the Kola MMC - Arktikavtotrans LLC - saved more than 5 million rubles at the expense of system implementation SCOUT. Preliminary results of use of a System SCOUT proved its efficiency. For system implementation in 2010 the enterprise spends 4.5 million rubles. After system implementation the SCOUT Arktikavtotrans LLC was succeeded to reduce fuel consumption significantly. Only on this item of expenditure more than 5 million rubles are saved, i.e. already now system implementation is completely justified. Besides, due to more effective operational management of transportations it was succeeded to lower motor transport run, to optimize personnel management, to increase discipline of drivers.
