TrilineSystems: Satellite Antenna Guidance Control Controller

Product
Developers: TrilineSystems
Date of the premiere of the system: 2023/03/21
Technology: Satellite Communications and Navigation

2023: Serial Production Launch

On March 21, 2023, TrilineSystems announced the launch of a Russian full-featured satellite guidance controller into mass production.

A civilian satellite antenna guidance control controller with advanced functionality is capable of "predicting" the trajectory of any satellite and automatically pointing the "dish" without manual adjustment or beacon search.

The device uses the Russian operating system ALT Linux with transparent source code, fully certified in the Russian Federation. The hardware is also independent of products from unfriendly countries. The CAN-BRF controller is already at the pre-production stage and will enter the market at the end of the first and beginning of the second quarter of 2023.

The expanded functionality of the control antenna satellite communications controller makes it possible to work with orbiters of any level (low-orbital, high-orbital, geostationary), up to the lowest flying and close to the atmosphere. Lands

Thanks to the original algorithm and hardware of the new controller, we can continuously accompany the movement of the spacecraft for a long time, up to several weeks, mathematically calculating its position, without additional reference signals, "said Pavel Zubenko, general designer of Trilinesystems. - This makes it possible to transfer data more securely and quickly. For example, if for camouflage purposes you cannot use the spacecraft beacon or it is disabled for other reasons, the system allows you to reliably work even with fast-flying satellites.

The KAN-BRF, in addition to the standard spacecraft tracking kit, will have a number of additional service functions. Including to increase the service life of antenna elements. And in the algorithms for tracking spacecraft, various systems for describing the movement of satellites in orbits are introduced, which multiply increases the accuracy of positioning. As of March 2023, commercial analogues of such a system exist only in some manufacturers of the United States and Canada, for Russia this is the first experience in the serial production of such a controller for civilian needs. It will be useful where there are objective difficulties with the operation of communications, for example, in circumpolar territories, where classical geostationary satellites "do not reach," and communication is provided mainly by satellites flying in elliptical orbits, which makes it difficult to point equipment at them.
