Zufall (PSIwms)

The Spedition Zufall transport company is the perspective enterprise of average scales offering to the clients all range of services from transportation of combined loads across the whole Europe, express delivery services worldwide, air and sea freight transportation up to logistic solutions and projects of outsourcing. The Zufall company owns warehouses in the south of Lower Saxony, in northern and east Hesse and Thuringia. Her clients are such leading companies as MEDION, Hahnemühle FineArt, Hyco Pacoma and Distribo - the joint venture created by Sartorius group and affiliated enterprise of Zufall company – Logistec company.

Solution PSI volume

Replacement of the outdated ILIAS system on 5 sections with 40 clients was charged to PSI Logistics company. Now the WMS system developed by PSI Logistics company manages 12 warehouses in Eshvege, Erfurt, Fulda, Kassel and Goettingen with a total quantity about 42.000 warehouse places.

The main objective was in integrating in one IT-system the existing and new warehouse sections of Zufall company with the clients belonging to them. The standard PSIwms system was modified for specific business processes taking into account requirements of Zufall company and specifics of different clients. Systems of accounting of clients are connected to PSIwms via different interfaces. For control of process of shipment the central EVA system of Anton company was connected. A system is open for addition with new clients and warehouses with different location

Gradation of specific sites on the PSlwms system and integration of the systems of clients the enterprises were performed within one and a half years without stopping. This system remains open and for future integration of new clients and sections. The PSIwms system has a strategic importance in the field of management of warehouses of Zufall company.

Configuration

System management of PSIwms is exercised from the central computer center using MS Windows platform 2003 Enterp-rise Server and the Oracle database of Zufall company. During the work with the PSIwms system employees use Citrix Clients.
