Description of the PSIwms system

Effective management of a warehouse is more, than storage and stock accounting. It is universality and flexibility of business processes: a complete set of orders, quick access and selection of the database, high speed of accomplishment, availability, effective management of resources, options for "green" logistics and many other things.

Taking into account these aspects the PSI Logistics company developed building block system of management of the warehouse PSIwms – the common software having features of an individual system. The adaptive system of PSIwms includes all functions which are required for management of warehouse processes, their coordinating and display. Besides, the software contains the extensive control functions and distributions directed to constant control of a trade inventory.

Having the general aspect-oriented system architecture and broad control functions and dispositions for permanent optimization of stocks, PSIwms is considered one of the most modern universal warehouse management systems. For management, coordination and processing of commodity and information flows the warehouse management system has add-on modules with the feature sets tested, directed to practical application. A system locates the maximum capability to integration with an environment of different ERP systems (SAP, 1C, etc.) and also comprehensive extent of optimization. Thanks to the listed opportunities, PSIwms offers users necessary flexibility and universality taking into account use of rationalization and optimization potential even at the changing business processes.

As an additional stage of optimization on the way to complete integrated solution PSIwms offers a combination with Enterprise Application Integration - the module PSIintegration. This module has the certified interface for SAP NetWeaver. Using PSIintegration normal users can define and configure interfaces of data writing with ease. So, the user finds independence of software providers, independently creating information and technology support for the business processes.

A system develops distribution of goods in a warehouse and creates priority tasks on transportation, calculated on the basis of the minimum transit time and vehicle mileage. Control panel

Cost reduction and durations of execution of transactions in the logistic centers due to the most complete observation of goods flows and increase in production indicators – all these advantages are made available to the user the effective tool of the PSIwms system – the control panel module. He undertakes problems of scheduling of all business processes in warehouses and in the logistic centers. Representing a central station on collecting and data filtering, the module provides large-scale display of relevant situations, statuses and time of passing of warehouse technology transactions and also provides to the persons responsible for logistics of the enterprise, the fast and compact overview about a status of complex business processes. At the same time images on the screen can be fully adapted to the necessary requirements. Deviations thanks to such method quickly will be recognized and keep from preset values and statuses, completion dates and criteria of quality. Thus, the module of the control panel is a stable decisive basis for accomplishment the set and implemented user of processes providing increase in production profit of tens of percent.


Module of management of the cargo yard

The most profitable use of the available resources and optimal coordination arriving on the warehouse yard for shipment and loading of cargo vehicles – an operational zone for the module of management of the warehouse management system PSIwms of the warehouse cargo yard (Yard Management). Treat tasks of this module: increase in efficiency of use of the priskladsky territory, minimization of cost of coordination by disponents of the processes happening in a zone of handling platforms and gate, decrease in waiting time and capacity growth.

For this purpose the cargo vehicles ready to loading and unloading are registered the Yard Management system, data of vehicles are entered into the system, and using the Drag & Drop dialog vehicles, taking into account all optimal aspects, become attached to specific gate or the parking space. In parallel there is a binding to certain gate standing in a job queue on shipment. Communication with the driver of the cargo vehicle is performed by means of indication on a big board. The driver can also receive notifications using the SMS message on the mobile phone.


Event management module

For management and monitoring of complex processes using simple tools the event management module with a user-friendly interface integrated into the warehouse management system PSIwms was created. This individually configured module serves for the automated monitoring of the predeterminated applied business processes that allows to reduce load of sections of planning and management. Deviations from the set modes are displayed by an event management system in the related warehouse management system or transmitted directly to the user through the SMS message or by e-mail. Thanks to this function the possibility of fast identification of malfunctions, the timely organization of necessary corrective actions and observance of contractual terms and delivery scopes is provided that promotes cutting of costs for additional deliveries.


Resource management module

The add-on module of resource management (Resource Management) integrates relevant requests with the resources which are available in a warehouse. Calculation of duration of procedures, necessary for processing of the order, is for this purpose made, or – if terms are already set – calculation of the resources necessary for timely accomplishment of this or that order under certain conditions. The basis for calculation is formed by standard data of the corresponding warehouse. Using a resource management system the user can process the dialogs made in the graphic way. In the simplest situations calculation of alternative options of time expenditure and use of resources is possible. Use of the resources corresponding to real requirements and timely order fulfillment is result of the performed operations.

Billing

According to requirements of service providers – own billing module was developed for the version of PSIwms 2.0. On the basis of statistical data it simplifies execution of settlement documents and sheets of efficiency of personnel. Thus, through certain intervals by one click of the mouse button or settlement documents or the detailed, authentic sheet of efficiency of personnel can be automatically processed. It saves time and at the same time provides transparency of all work types, the spent time and a monetary component of a piece-work pay. The user can easily correlate all cost types and make salary payment according to the performed work.

Visualization of KPI

The system of visualization of indicators which allows to define and visually to present all necessary indicators in the form of blocks, the list or information supplement, provides high transparency thanks to data view in real time and increases flexibility of work of the user.

Features of system implementation

PSIwms system implementation on new objects passes step by step and timely, thanks to the created technique and the adjusted algorithm of actions. User interface

PSIwms is characterized by user-friendly and practical user interfaces. Thanks to the configuration specified personally for the client, templates can precisely adapt to his individual requirements. The functions supporting formation of combined transport units, selection of components from combined orders, the dynamic strategy of warehousing at extremely volume transport units reflect the relevant level of development of a modern warehouse management system. For tracking of movements of trade inventories PSIwms locates functions of the protocols providing exact information on in what time there was a change of stocks and by what postings it is confirmed. At the same time flexible numerous parameters, allow the user to configure the multilingual interface independently according to the requirements. So, the client can define arrangements of tables, the amount of dialogs, structure of the menu, etc., convenient for it.

2015: PSIwms 3.0

The adaptive manager of scenarios – new functionality of the PSIwms system - allows to optimize work by automatic switching of the scenario of system configuration in real time.

On the basis of the defined rules/indicators it is possible to change system configuration in real time and at the same time situationally to manage processes and the equipment according to the scenario as that a high load, low loading, a night shift or emergency operation. The manager of scenarios independently starts the correct scenario at achievement of certain key indicators or time. Rules / Key indicators and extreme values of scenarios and also the warehouse code are configured individually, depending on needs of the client.

One more innovation in the PSIwms system is Warehouse Service Broker - it allows to integrate several warehouse management systems in a virtual "cluster of warehouses". Thus purpose of tasks to transportations between warehouses, the centralized access to all data of all warehouses and also the centralized interface from higher a host system become simpler (a higher system "does not know" physical location of goods). Warehouse Service Broker allows including to integrate the WMS systems of other producers.
