Start of CMS supply based on copper cables

C3 Solutions, a Russian manufacturer and supplier of engineering, telecommunications and industrial solutions for data centers and other IT facilities, began supplying copper-based structured cable systems (SCS) to the Russian market on October 5, 2023. This product has become a development of the line of optical SCS already presented in the company's arsenal.

C3 Solutions copillar SCSs provide a data transfer rate of up to 10GB/s. The main consumer of copper fiber is various enterprises, office centers and buildings (their developers and tenants), which need a large number of IT resources to connect to the Internet, and which use copper SCS to form their own IT infrastructure.

CMS based on copper cables are also in demand in commercial and corporate data centers. With compact placement of network equipment in corporate data centers, the characteristics of "copper" are enough to maintain the connection speed at the required level. Large data centers use copper fiber to ensure the operation of internal auxiliary subsystems that are not related to the speed transfer [information 'information]] (setting up and registering access control, monitoring the operation of the facility, etc.).

The CMS from S3 Solutions can be delivered to customers in the form of a complex of engineering components, which includes the copper cable itself, patch panels, Keystone modules and patch cords. The quality of all elements is checked by the vendor's rigid incoming inspection system. As part of it, selective testing of products supplied to the market is carried out.

Start of CMS deliveries to Russia for data centers

On March 23, 2023, S3 Solutions announced that it had begun supplying structured cable systems (SCS) for data centers to the Russian market. Now the company's line of solutions includes typesetting patch panels with optical cassettes and pre-deterministic cables.

All supplied products are designed specifically for the data center and meet all operational requirements (reliability, versatility, scalability, architecture flexibility), and also take into account the peculiarities of the operation of data centers in Russian realities, including:

• provide fault tolerance of SCS due to redundancy of cable subsystems of different hierarchy level,
• support high data transfer rates (10, 40 and 100 Gb/s), which is especially important due to the rapid growth of information volumes and the need for a quick response to user requests,
• have compact dimensions, which makes it possible to use them in highly loaded racks with a high concentration of wires and connections,
• contains push-pull connectors for high-density solutions and features high-quality polishing of connectors,
• support the ability to flexibly reconfigure the cable network if necessary, which is especially relevant for commercial data centers.

The complete supply includes high-density marshalling racks, which allow a large number of cable connections to be placed in a limited volume.
