2023: Moving BI tools to Yandex.Cloud cloud platform

Renaissance Insurance announced on March 29, 2023 that it had transferred BI tools to the Yandex Cloud cloud platform. This helped reduce the time to prepare reports in the company and improve the quality of analytics. The company plans to move data processing to the cloud as a whole by 2024. This will reduce the cost of maintaining and updating servers, flexibly manage the necessary computing resources, and comply with security standards when storing client information.

In three months, the company moved 36 reports to Yandex Cloud, which more than 250 active users work with. Using the data analysis and visualization service Yandex DataLens managed to reduce the cost of BI analytics and increase the speed of working with data several times due to the absence of limits on queries to databases. For example, the company's HR department is already working with the tool. Specialists have built reports on the entire cycle of work of employees in the company in Yandex DataLens.

{{quote 'For us, going to the cloud is the best way to close business risks. Not to mention the convenience of infrastructure management. We chose Yandex Cloud as a provider, since our colleagues have strong internal expertise and build their platform on their own, that is, they do not depend on external technologies, "said Ilya Frenklakh, vice president of Renaissance Insurance. }}

The cloud approach will help the Renaissance Insurance team quickly solve growth problems and maintain the reliability of the overall infrastructure at a high level. As a partner company, we do not just provide resources, but invest the time of our architects, engineers and business teams in implementing end-to-end scenarios, such as transferring a BI platform to a new toolkit, "said Alexander Chernikov, commercial director of the Yandex Cloud platform.
