The Bremen logistic operator Stute Verkehrs-GmbH, 100% subsidiary company of Kühne & Nagel concern, created for the producer of CLAAS farm vehicles new spare parts depot in the city of Hamm-Uyentrop. CS Parts Logistics GmbH company founded especially for this project - the joint venture founded by both firms works as the operating company.

The CS Parts Logistics GmbH company which number of staff is about 80 people undertook activities for providing the CLAAS group with spare parts worldwide. Here constantly about 105.000 names which can be sent to the customer within several hours are available or are shipped to him directly in the logistic center. Over 118.000 orders from every corner of the world are annually processed, - thus, CS Parts Logistics GmbH daily makes  packaging about 8.000 positions.

In the territory of 55.000 sq.m the logistic center of 23.000 sq.m and 15 meters high with the additional covered priskladsky territory of 5.000 sq.m was built. The warehouse complex represents automatic spare parts depot with 8 rack pilers, 121 places for storage and contiguous zones for completing and packaging.


Requirements to a new logistics system

Permanent existence of spare parts has huge value for the agricultural enterprises. Especially it belongs to the seasonal periods of harvesting when agricultural machinery is operated almost round the clock, and spare parts should be delivered to places in the fastest time.

It involves need of processing of tasks in the shortest possible time and the need of optimal placement of the most different spare parts for special warehouse zones. In practice it means what for 52 weeks in a year of CS Parts Logistics guarantees providing with spare parts on places. Besides, special requirements in view of wide range of products, placed in a warehouse, – from small spare parts to large-size modular nodes are imposed to a logistics system.


Process description

The warehouse management system developed by PSI Logistics company according to special requirements guarantees optimal movement of spare parts. For providing a guarantee of deliveries two computers are united in a cluster of high readiness, providing optimal reliability in case of a software glitch or the hardware. Along with it, PSI Logistics within the agreement on service and maintenance via the ISDN router is connected to CS Parts Logistics network that allows to eliminate the arising fault immediately. The LAN connects to the higher system of SAP/R3 of CLAAS company in Harzevinkel on a standard communication channel and obtains information on the forthcoming deliveries of goods from a production warehouse or from third-party suppliers from there.


Expansion

  • Increase in the range of spare parts at the expense of spare parts for the CLAAS tractors
  • Integration of an external warehouse satellite of 25.000 sq.m with all logical structures and functionality.

  • Goods acceptance and the placement of packages on intermediate storage via the mobile terminal of data transmission

  • Buffer function of ready selection tanks for the purpose of optimization of operation of the packing conveyor * Transportation through MDT is supported by Fuzzy packet - Logic
  • The choice of the piler depending on the range of the movement of the piler, the permitted TE types and the maximum weight
  • The choice of a zone of a mandrel is performed through a LAN depending on the country of origin, type of sending, the client, the forwarding agent and time of sending
  • Preparation for sending is regulated through dialog
  • Permission to sending in coordination with SAP
  • Emergency measures by means of data entry from SAP in WMS.
