As a result of the project, the company has introduced a tool that can smoothly plan the release of more than 600 commodity items (SKU) on several production lines and recalculate production plans in almost real mode. time This was announced on April 4, 2023 by representatives of Navicon.
When planning the production of ASG, you have to take into account many factors: even the sequence of release of assortment items can affect the margin of goods. For a long time, production plans were calculated in SAP. With the withdrawal of IT suppliers from the ASG market, an alternative tool was required that could be implemented in a short time.
The Navicon system integrator was chosen as the IT partner, who offered the ASG CPM solution built on the domestic Optimacros platform. The Navicon team developed a transition plan and proposed a methodology to the ASG to optimize production plans. So, the so-called "transition matrix" was implemented in the system. Thanks to this tool, the company can plan the production sequence of SKUs in such a way that, first of all, the goods with the highest sales volume (category A) are produced and the production costs of the less marginal parts (categories B and C) are minimized. The system in just 4 minutes, with a deviation to 0.1% in automatic mode, generates an optimal production plan for costs, taking into account restrictions on production capacity and minimum batch volumes for shipment to the customer. Earlier, it took hours to solve such problems with the help of other tools - while the plans did not take into account the costs of line reconfiguration (transition matrix) and product categorization.
On the Optimacros platform, it was possible to build a completely transparent methodology for calculating production plans. The customer understands the planning logic, which makes confidence in the final result much higher. This is one example where a combination of platform and proprietary methodology allows competition with Western tech giants, commented Yulia Romanova, Head of S&OP, Navicon.

The project to automate planning processes in the ASG continues. Further plans include building sales planning and commercial conditions on the Optimacros platform, connecting a promotional planning unit, and automating margin calculation for each commodity group.
