Career

2005-201

From 2005 to 2013, he worked at Sony Corporation as director of strategy and business development, before that - in investment companies in Spain and the USA.

In 2013-2016. was the director of the Magnit Cosmetics format. At the beginning of its work, the unprofitable chain of cosmetics and household chemicals stores included about 700 outlets. According to Goncharov, in four years sales have grown 13 times, EBITDA - 22 times, the network has become "very profitable."

2017-2018

From January 2017 to January 2018, Sergei Goncharov was also responsible for the development of a network of pharmacies operating under the Magnita brand. Goncharov left Magnit on January 23, 2018, because he "stopped seeing a future for himself in the company."

2023: Appointment as Head of Business at Ozon Marketplace

On April 12, 2023, it was announced the appointment of Sergei Goncharov as the new head of the marketplace business area. Among them are the development of their own sales and brands, attracting a new range, working with sellers and brands, and more. According to the retailer's press service, Sergei Pankov (Goncharov's predecessor) decided to leave the company in order to "realize new career opportunities."

The marketplace business vertical is one of Ozon's largest and key business blocks. At the end of 2022, the share of the marketplace in the total GMV Ozon amounted to 76.2% against 64.8% in 2021. The total GMV Ozon, including services, at the end of 2022 amounted to 832 billion rubles.[1]
