2022: Establishing a Company
Nintendo CEO in Russia (Nintendo Ru LLC) Yasha Haddazhi created and headed a new company called Achivka, which began importing games and other Nintendo products into the Russian Federation. This became known on April 9, 2023.
On this day, the Nintendo Switch On Telegram channel published a photo with a cartridge of the Metroid Prime Remastered game, imported by Achivka, an organization registered in November 2022 at the same address as the Russian division of Nintendo.
Yasha Khaddazhi and his new company Achivka LLC can be congratulated on the start of financial activities, the message says. |
It also indicates that the author of the photo works in the Eldorado store. The press service of M.Video-Eldorado told Kommersant that the retailer uses "various legally permitted mechanics to develop the gaming range."
According to the publication, 80% of the authorized capital of Achivka belongs to Khaddazhi, 10% each belongs to Maria Sluginova and Ksenia Kachalova, Nintendo corporate events manager in Russia. On March 30, 2023, at the request of Achivka, a declaration was issued for the import of various models of the Nintendo Switch game console. At the same time, the document states that the declarant is authorized by Japanese Nintendo, the newspaper indicates.
Lawyer, partner of NSP Aram Grigoryan admits that Achivka was created without Nintendo's approval and is unlikely to receive preferences from it.
We are talking about a Russian management company, probably Nintendo will not grant it any rights, he suggested. |
At the same time, the lawyer considers another scenario possible, in which Nintendo, in order to avoid sanctions pressure, decided to structure the business through Russian management without its direct participation. If in the first case the new company is unlikely to become the operator of Nintendo eShop in Russia and will mainly engage in parallel imports, then in the second it has a chance to conduct a full-fledged business, he explained.[1]
