2023: Import Substitution Agreement

The Ministry of Digital Development, Information and Telecommunication Technologies of the Republic of Adygea and Astra Group of Companies signed a cooperation agreement to effectively implement state policy in the field of import substitution and development of information technologies in the Republic of Adygea. Astra Group of Companies announced this on April 14, 2023.

Earlier, the region tested the Astra Linux operating system and the Brest virtualization software package. In 2023, the region plans to introduce a domestic operating system in executive authorities, medical, educational and other state organizations. Cooperation in the republic is developing in various sectoral areas, including interaction with the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Adygea on the planned transfer of subordinate institutions to domestic software.

Within the framework of the concluded agreement, the Parties will jointly assess the level of implementation of domestic software solutions in certain industries, as well as develop proposals for replacing foreign products. Measures and initiatives are aimed at achieving the necessary indicators within the framework of the project "Digital Economy of Russia" for the implementation of domestic software, primarily office software, in organizations of the Republic of Adygea.

In order to increase the level of knowledge about domestic software products and create favorable conditions for ensuring the transition of state authorities and local self-government of the Republic of Adygea to Russian software, it is planned to hold joint seminars and round tables in the region for government agencies, organizations and educational institutions for the exchange of experience and knowledge between IT specialists and Russian developers, said Minister of Digital Development, Information and Telecommunication Technologies of the Republic of Adygea Zaurbek Yusufovich Shu.
