2023: Implementing the OpenSky Solution

Azimut Airlines has implemented the OpenSky/Decision solution (part of the OpenSky system) from the provider of IT solutions for civil aviation, RIVTS-Pulkovo, to automate the work of operational dispatchers to prepare the flight for departure, which announced this on April 19, 2023.

The OpenSky/Decision Flight Decision Module is designed to analyze and take into account operational limitations during flight control, as well as to develop recommendations for the PIC to make a flight decision. OpenSky/Decision algorithms are based on the rules described in the Federal Aviation Regulations "Preparation and Performance of Flights in Civil Aviation of the Russian Federation" (Order No. 128 of July 31, 2009) and the RPP of the Airline.

OpenSky/Decision concentrates all the necessary information for the analysis of meteorological and air navigation information on the flight and displays it in a user-friendly form, which significantly facilitates and reduces the time of pre-flight flight preparation by the flight controller. OpenSky/Decision also analyzes possible restrictions on the flight and informs the user about them.

The result of OpenSky/Decision module operation is the analyzed flight documentation package for flight performance. The working form provides a clear display of all necessary information and a color indication of all warnings.

As part of the software product, it is possible to carry out a multifactorial selection of spare airfields, control of the aircraft's admission to flight by a set of parameters, as well as the preparation of an electronic package of flight documents with the possibility of printing and sending by e-mail.
