2023: Move to the BI platform Visiology

The Higher School of Economics (HSE) has transferred educational programs, including operational data analysis, to the BI-platform Visiology. This was announced by Visiology (Visioloji) on April 19, 2023. As part of the agreement concluded between the university and the Russian software developer, the necessary licenses will be provided to train students. Employees of the Department of Business Informatics of the Higher School of Economics for the academic year will adapt educational materials for the platform, and various opportunities for acquaintance with Visiology have already been provided for teachers.

High School of Business educational programs related to data analysis and BI systems have been consistently in high demand in recent years. In 2023, almost 1000 students study at the Business Informatics bachelor's program alone, for whom the disciplines of the analytical block are mandatory.

Until April 2023, training programs were focused on popular applications such as Microsoft Power BI, Tableau, Qlik Sense.

However, when the availability of Western products for the Russian market became limited, the business informatics department of the Higher School of Economics began to choose the most suitable domestic alternative.

The development of business analytics disciplines taking into account the functionality of Visiology will be carried out by teachers of Business Informatics, however, according to the agreements reached, Visiology representatives will provide consulting support, including online webinars, access to a training platform for practicing practical tasks.

For the implementation of the training programs of the Higher School of Economics, the Higher School of Economics granted competitive licenses to Visiology for a period of one year.
