2023: Migration to PSS Platform from ORS

S7 Airlines April 25, 2023 presented the results of migration to domestic, PSS platform from ORS- Russian developer IT solutions for aviation.

Migration began in the spring of 2022. The PSS platform is a multifunctional complex of IT solutions that underlies the airline's infrastructure. The PSS is responsible for storage and, distribution data used by passengers, airline employees, crew members and agents. PSS also it is integrated has an external technological environment - various distribution platforms, hosts of partner airlines, airports and industry data providers.

The previous migration to a foreign analogue lasted a year and a half, did not imply the customization of the functionality and required 2 times more connection rehearsals, "said Alexander Ulan.

This project required ORS to numerically increase and transform the team, change the internal organizational structure, modernize the IT infrastructure, new technological solutions, up to 6 daily meetings between different teams of the airline and the developer, as well as more than 20 streams on the project with dedicated curators.

As a result, the migration of S7 Airlines to the ORS PSS platform was uninterrupted. At the time of migration, more than 30 partner airports connected to PSS, and in the next two months all airports in the S7 Airlines route network were transferred to the solution from ORS. Immediately after the migration, integration with international GDSs was launched. The migration did not affect the airline's suite of products and services available to passengers and agents online.
