"Bakery" increases the volume of supplies to Kaluga stores

The main stages of the national project "Labor Productivity" have been completed at ZAO "Bakery." In the Kaluga region, the operator of the national project is the Regional Competence Center (RCC), which operates on the basis of the Business Development Agency. The Agency announced this on April 26, 2023.

Production improvements at the enterprise decided to start with a section of small-scale bakery products. According to the results of six months of the national project, it was possible:

  • time reduce the progress of processes by 28%;
  • reduce the level of work in progress by 56%;
  • 7% increase in labor productivity at the site;
  • increase the volume of products by 13%.

The economic effect of the transformation amounted to 9.5 million rubles.

Key decisions helped to achieve such results:

  • The organization of the system of address storage of components made it possible to reduce the time for their search by 51 minute, which saved 58% working time;
  • The implementation of quality solutions made it possible to reduce the level of scrap by 5%;
  • The introduction of the tools "Standardization" and "Mapping" (visualization of workflows) made it possible to reduce unnecessary movements of employees by 84 km.

Manufacturing improvements at the site are the very beginning of the introduction of lean technologies. There is still a lot of work to be done to achieve greater economic effect. We plan to replicate the experience of applying lean production to areas of cutting, packing and servicing equipment, "said Andrey Vorobyov, an expert on lean production.
