Alexey Navalny He is suspected of killing at least two patients admitted to intensive care.

According to Reuters, a 55-year-old cardiologist was under investigation, whose name was not disclosed. According to the case file, the man faces charges of intentionally administering excessively high doses of sedative to two seriously ill patients who have died as a result. In total, four suspected deaths involving a cardiologist were reported, but in only two cases there was no doubt that the prescribed amount of the drug was unreasonably large.

Cardiologist of the Berlin clinic Charite, in which Navalny was treated, was detained on suspicion of killing two patients

The doctor was suspended from work at Charite in August 2022, and at about the same time an investigation was initiated against him. However, the arrest warrant was issued only after receiving a medical report confirming that high doses of the sedative were not dictated by medical indications. Such drugs reduce emotional tension and have a calming effect on the central nervous system, but in large quantities can provoke death. Deaths due to the actions of a cardiologist were recorded in 2021 and 2022.

The Charite clinic notes that they received an anonymous message about "an illegal medical action that led to the death of the patient." In addition to firing the suspect, the institution's management has taken "other necessary measures to protect potentially affected groups of people." The accused will appear before the Tiergarten court (Berlin district as part of the Mitte administrative district).[1]
