Kurgan Regional Duma
The Kurgan Regional Duma is the permanent highest and only legislative body in the region. Its activities are based on the Constitution of the Russian Federation, federal legislation, the Charter of the region, the Law of the Kurgan Region "On the Kurgan Regional Duma," other laws of the region and regulatory legal acts of the regional Duma. For the first time, elections to the Kurgan Regional Duma were held on March 27, 1994.
