The vessels are expected to arrive in the capital in about 10 days, where mooring and sea trials await them. They will be allowed to transport passengers after all the necessary safety checks. The vessels are being built by order of Vodohod.Passenger Port JSC, a contractor for the project, at the shipyard of the Emperium company (part of the Sitronics Group).

Before transferring the electric power to Moscow, the specialists completed the interior decoration, connected the equipment, set up the operation of devices and systems.

On board the dry cargo ship, Russian electric ships will pass through 10 large reservoirs, including river channels and lakes. Transportation is under increased control - specialists monitor compliance with transportation rules and changes in weather conditions. On behalf of the Mayor of Moscow, we continue to prepare for the launch of regular river passenger transport, so these electric power systems are waiting for a mandatory check before release on routes, "said Maxim Liksutov, head of the Moscow Department of Transport and Road Transport Infrastructure Development.

Electric power about 22 m in length can accommodate up to 50 passengers, including seats for people with limited mobility. The carrying capacity of the routes will be up to 15 thousand passengers per day. Their launch will improve transport services and provide alternative travel options for about 1.5 million people living in nearby areas of Moscow. The agreement between the capital's mayor's office and Passenger Port OJSC (part of the Vodokhod LLC group) was concluded for a period of 15 years to service river traffic in Moscow, provides for the construction of 21 vessels, 23 berths of a new type and 2 fleet sludge points with charging stations.
