The new neural network operates on the basis of a large language model (LLM). MetaGPT converts requests into some kind of technical assignment for the programmer, and then starts generating code. To create an application, you need to provide a certain set of information: this is, in particular, a description of the functions that the program must perform, input and output formats, design preferences, etc. The resulting application can then be tested in the browser.

MetaGPT is a GPT4-based text-to-app platform that allows entrepreneurs, consultants and small business owners to build simple web applications using English or any other language. You no longer need to use specialized tools and technical terms - just describe the idea, and Pico will do everything else, say the creators of MetaGPT.

As the New Atlas resource notes, the new neural network copes quite well with the generation of simple applications. However, when you make changes to them or try to create more complex programs, problems arise. In this case, the AI system can simply invent solutions and often generates code that does not work properly and does not perform the requested operations. In addition, MetaGPT, when sequentially creating new versions of the same application, cannot carry successful code fragments: as a result, changes made at the request of the user can lead to complete degradation of the program. In the future, Pico expects to improve the functionality of its product.^[1]
