Actify CPD

The Actify company announced an exit of a new solution of Actify CPD (Collaborative Product Development is joint product development) for information exchange at collective product development through the SharePoint platform. Actify CPD packet created by Actify together with Aras, Razorleaf and Microsoft companies provides exchange of the technical information between developers of a product and also transfer of necessary information from developers to clients, suppliers and partners.

The CPD system works with data assets which usually address only in a PLM product lifecycle management systems (Product Lifecycle Management) or in a PDM data management systems about a product (Product Data Management). Using Actify CPD developers can achieve the new level of cooperation and accelerate a development cycle due to reduction of time of decision making, and interaction with concerned parties is performed in a visual form. The Actify CPD system combines possibilities of a packet of Actify DesignShare, includes in the structure the browser of three-dimensional drawings based on Silverlight technology, function of a packet Aras Innovator and also fully uses possibilities of the SharePoint Server 2010 Business Connectivity Services platform, service PerformancePoint, a management tool document flow and searching tools.

The CPD system can be used in the large international companies which need to provide convenient and secure global access to work materials, PLM processes and three-dimensional drawings of new products. The new CPD system dynamically displays all information which contains in Aras Innovator product lifecycle management system in real time before users. All data and documents are available through a user-friendly interface of the SharePoint web portal. Procedures of PLM document flow in the SharePoint portal are implemented using Aras technologies, and display of three-dimensional drawings – using Actify technologies.
