2023: Product Announcement
On May 15, 2023, Telly introduced a unique smart TV equipped with two screens. One of these displays will constantly display ads that users cannot disable.
The Telly concept boils down to the fact that consumers will be able to get a TV panel for free in exchange for agreeing to share a certain set of personal data. This can be information about the area of residence, the brand of the car, income, visited stores, viewed content, etc. The collected information will then be used to maximize the personalization of advertising, which will increase its effectiveness. Moreover, it will be impossible to block the demonstration of such ads.
Telly TV is equipped with a 55-inch main screen with a resolution of 4K. Under it is a soundbar, and even lower is an auxiliary display designed to display ads and other useful information, for example, weather forecasts, news reports or multimedia controls. When playing movies or watching TV series, the additional display remains on, although its brightness decreases. In addition, this display can work even when the main panel is turned off. The device is equipped with a camera and microphone: this allows you to organize video communication sessions, including via Zoom.
The novelty will come with a small Android TV keychain connecting to the HDMI connector: this gadget will take over the main smart functions. The Android TV's own software platform is designed only for displaying ads and providing interactive capabilities. During 2023, Telly intends to distribute about 500 thousand TVs for free. Potential customers will have to go through a questionnaire, answering a significant number of personal questions.[1]
