Integration with Basis Real Estate

The companies "Basis Real Estate" and Tangl on November 20, 2024 announced the beginning of cooperation. This partnership will build a continuous and efficient data management process.

With the help of solutions from Tangl, customers will be able to obtain a verified calculation of the volume and cost of the project from the BIM model, which will exactly correspond to the design solutions. Further, all calculated data (including changes) will be automatically integrated into Basis Real Estate, which will facilitate the creation of work schedules and the formation of tasks for contractors.

In addition, the integration will ensure the connection of construction documentation with the BIM model. This will allow all participants in the process - contractors, construction control and customers - to be in the same context. Contractors will be able to see the full scope of upcoming work in 3D format, construction control will be able to leave comments attached to specific points of the digital twin of the building, and customers will be able to track the progress of the implementation and closure of construction stages according to the established schedules directly in the BIM model.

Tangl control with collision detection capability

On September 18, 2023, the Russian developer of BIM solutions, Tangl, presented an updated functionality of the service for automating the verification of BIM models Tangl control. The change will optimize the process of finding geometric intersections, as well as reduce the number of errors in the design solution and minimize the cost of eliminating them at all stages of the object's life cycle.

According to the company, checks for geometric intersections are an integral part of working on an information model of any building. If they are detected not at the design stage, but already at subsequent stages, the result is a significant increase in costs. If collisions are not detected before building volumes are calculated, these volumes will be exceeded. If collisions are detected during construction, they can even lead to serious changes in the project - for example, restructuring communications, re-linking them, etc. All this leads to an increase in costs and a breakdown in the timing of the project.

So checking for geometric intersections at the design stage is an urgent need to eliminate the problem when it requires minimal costs. However, it is extremely difficult, time-consuming and long to carry out such a check manually. Tangl control now automatically solves such problems.

The service is built on the basis of a collision matrix with an unlimited number of columns and rows that can be specified directly in the application. If a user company has multiple customers whose interference check requirements differ, you can create multiple matrices with different settings. The result is given to the user in the most informative and convenient form for further work: the service shows all detected conflicts, the identification number of each element in them, as well as information about the specified verification parameters. All results can be viewed both in tabular view and directly on the 3D model, which allows you to determine the position of conflicting elements relative to all others in the building. For clarity, collision elements are highlighted in contrasting colors.

In addition to directly crossing the elements, the service can also check the minimum distance between them. For example, if two types of communications should not be close to each other, the distance between them should be at least a given value, the service will check this. It is also possible to check the intersection of projections of different elements on the horizontal plane. Thus, it is possible to accurately verify that one element is above or below another or vice versa - is not in this position.

The unique capabilities of the updated Tangl control tools include the ability to identify even those elements of the model that are completely inside others. This is a rather difficult task that is rarely solved in automatic mode. The difficulty is that the traditional indicator of collision determination is the intersection of element faces. If one element is inside another, then the conflict is not detected, because there is no intersection of faces. Meanwhile, such cases are also collisions and require their search - Tangl control can do this.
