In the process of smelting steel from cast iron, the raw material is cleared of sulfur (this step is called slag loading). It is important to find a balance between the quality of cleaning cast iron from impurities and the losses of the metal itself. The system records the entire process of cleaning cast iron from slag and automatically monitors the degree of purity of the raw material. The database analyzes the data necessary for optimizing the technical process: purity index, cleaning time, team number, employee name, etc.
To analyze the process of cleaning cast iron from impurities, Vmx Dequs uses neural networks, computer vision tools and mathematical algorithms.
The neural network detects the bucket on the video stream and the skimmer involved in the process of cleaning cast iron fixes the boundaries of the vat and the movement of the skimmer. Thus, it determines the dynamic region of liquid slag - the zone for subsequent scanning and analysis. The slag download frequency index is then mathematically calculated and displayed in the system on the operator's screen.
