2023: Platform Creation

In mid-June 2023, Rostelecom and 1C signed a memorandum aimed at developing and strengthening cooperation in the field of information technology. As part of this agreement, companies will develop an industry-wide resource management platform.

According to the press service of Rostelecom, the goal of the partnership is to create an industry-wide multifunctional ERP-class enterprise resource management platform based on domestic software. The specialists of the cross-functional team will develop on the 1C: Enterprise platform a corporate template 1C Corporation: RTK for use as a single solution by Rostelecom and further replication for the entire industry.

By June 2023, over 3 thousand users from more than 120 enterprises of the Rostelecom group work with 1C solutions. As part of the cooperation, it is planned to connect about 100 more subsidiaries and affiliates to 1C products.

For the first time in the Russian telecom industry, such a large project will be implemented, "says Sergey Anokhin, First Vice President - Financial Director of Rostelecom. - I am convinced that further refinement and scaling of the system on the basis of "1C" will increase the efficiency of planning and management of financial processes, and the experience gained during its implementation will be in demand in the project of transferring the ERP solution used in Rostelecom to a modern domestic platform. In addition, it will become the basis for the formation of a unified industry solution.

Kirill Menshov, Senior Vice President for Information Technology at Rostelecom, added that the creation of an import-independent industry solution will eliminate external risks and create a good reserve for developing the practice of introducing domestic ERP systems of an industrial level in the Russian Federation.^[1]
