2023: Introduction of Advanta Project Management System

As part of the import substitution program, the design center for the design of IMS NIIET JSC is implementing several strategically important OCD for the company. This required a single IT tool for project management. It was important for the client to see the first results immediately, without waiting for the full completion of the implementation, namely, to get an understandable and transparent picture of the existing work. After analyzing the existing solutions in the domestic software market for project management, a choice was made in favor of ADVANTA. The system attracted the customer in terms of functionality, interface friendliness, as well as data security and privacy.

What was done

• A temporary demo show has been created, taking into account the peculiarities of the company

Since the technical specialist from ADVANTA was not allowed to configure the system in the company itself, he deployed a special demo end. The implementation project manager set up templates and forms depending on the tasks and requirements of the client, showed the principles of work on the demo end, and the customer already independently transferred the necessary functionality to the system. Without full-time presence and active actions on the part of the integrator, NIIET employees mastered ADVANTA in less than a month and adapted it in their company.

• A single information field has been formed for project participants

The Project Tree tool allows you to collect all projects in one place and control intermediate results: by tasks performed, about detected errors in work assemblies, about the results of meetings, discussions, etc. Thanks to the hierarchical structure, you can see up-to-date information on projects online, which means making decisions on the problems that have arisen in time and preventing time failures.

• Labor Management Functionality Set Up

The system has configured OLAP cubes that resemble a PivotTable in Excel and group data by the same characteristic. In this case, this tool helps you monitor workload by performer and keep track of planned and actual work. Who, how long and on which projects is busy is now visible in one window using the Gantt chart.

What result has been achieved

• Automated management of R&D projects, which made it possible to free up additional working hours and reduce the burden on employees.
• A transparent and understandable picture was obtained for all projects and employee load.
• Customized reporting on the status of the tasks of the projects being carried out made it possible to save 1.5 times the time for analyzing the reports and, accordingly, to respond more quickly to the current situation for the projects being carried out.
• Meetings, assignments, approvals, discussions allow management to keep all project participants informed of events, promptly discuss and solve problems, problems and issues on projects.
