Domino's Pizza delivered pizza with a jet suit for the first time. Video

Customers: Dominos Pizza Inc

Food industry

Contractors: Gravity Industries

Project date: 2023/06

Pizza chain Domino's was the first in the world to start delivering pizza using a jetpack. To do this, she began working with Gravity Industries, which helped create a custom suit that helps the courier be safe and food warm.

Domino's delivered pizza to the Glastonbury Music Festival in Britain with the help of a jet pack courier. The company said that for more than a year they have been receiving orders from the festival for delivery, but it was impossible to carry it out earlier.

When we realized that it was impossible to come and distribute pieces of pizza inside the festival, we were inspired by this year's main performer and launched our own express delivery - this was an obvious decision, "said Sam Wilson, project manager for jet suits at Domino's.

In the video, you can watch a pizzeria courier pick up an order, take off from a catering point and fly over the fields. After the delivery pilot placed two pizzas in a special delivery box mounted at the top of the jetpack, he inserted his hands into the jet-powered devices and took off, flying over Glastonbury Fields and handing over pizzas to nourish hungry holidaymakers before returning back to the store.

Seeing the jet suit flying over Glasto was amazing. I've never seen a jet suit before, let alone used it to deliver pizza. I'm looking forward to having a suit like this land on my doorstep in the future, "commented Domino's project Natali Dickson, one of the Glastonbury music festival attendees.[1]
