2023: Announcement of the development of a mathematical apparatus for the analysis of structures of promising transport networks
Employees of the Department of Mathematical Cybernetics and Information Technologies, Faculty of Information Technologies MTUSI Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor Leokhin Yuri Lvovich and Ph.D., Associate Professor Fathulin Timur Dzhalilevich developed a set of mathematical models for the analysis and study of the information structure of promising software-configurable optical networks. This was announced on July 3, 2023 by representatives of MTUSI.
As reported, as of July 2023, the time cloudy"" services, technologies, IoT, and LTE, 4G 5G as well as management self-driving cars generate, large amount of data which must be received and transmitted, as a rule, in real time with a minimum delay. Most often, the traffic of such services is transmitted through the base stations of mobile operators. And for the transmission of traffic between and from base stations to data processing centers (), DPC through which modern "cloud" services, optical transport networks (OTN) are used.
For efficient management of such networks, the technology of software-configurable networks (ACS) is used. ACS together with OTN and IP/MPLS technologies form software-configurable optical networks (PCOS). PKOS is the most complex technical system, for the effective design and operation of which it is necessary to use a mathematical apparatus that allows you to calculate the most important characteristics of such networks.
When developing a set of mathematical models, researchers from MTUSI identified the information and technical components of the PCOS structures, determining sources and receivers of data streams, as well as the network equipment used. The developed set of mathematical models allows you to calculate the characteristics of the information structure of the PCOS using the means of its description and taking into account the specifics of the interaction of applications that implement Services provided to customers. Such characteristics include the parameters of application data streams transmitted between information nodes and the intensity of data streams that arrive at the information structure nodes.
One of the possibilities of this development is that it can be used both in the design and in the operation of PCOS of various topologies and equipment configurations. In the future, a set of mathematical models will be presented for the analysis and study of the technical structure of PCOS. It is supposed to map the characteristics of the information structure to the characteristics of the technical structure of the PCOC.
