2023: Creating an Enterprise Search System

PJSC Gazprom neft"" Russian and the vendor Naumen have developed a corporate search system, which has become a single point of access to the accumulated internal knowledge and expertise oil and gas of the company. More than 60 internal and external sources are connected to the digital platform information and thanks to language analysis data and processing technologies, users have access to a "smart" search, which reduces the time to receive a response to a request by 55%. Naumen announced this on July 11, 2023.

The development and implementation of the Corporate Search was carried out in partnership between Naumen and the Competence Center Gazpromneft Digital Solutions"" for five years. Initially, it was necessary to unify and organize a large amount of unstructured company data and set up synchronization with other information systems. Then gas industries the project team formed a unique thesaurus containing more than a thousand different terms, definitions and abbreviations to teach the system the features of the corporate language and terminology of Nefte.

Korporativnyy̆ search is a strategically important tool for the company to implement the principle of democratization of data and create a single window of access to it. Employees get the opportunity to get into the data catalog in a few clicks, find analytics, critical services and official documents. The introduction of semantic processing and data clustering technology allows the implementation of computational semantic indexing of natural language texts. As a result, a semantics model of individual documents is automatically formed, reliably characterizing the topic and content of the analyzed information resources, - said Natalya Tretyakova, head of the department for organizing work with BEF data, PJSC Gazprom Neft.

In this project, we fully adapted the technological core of the Naumen search engine to the high requirements of Gazprom Neft, which affected both the complex subject area and the unique business processes of the company. Now it is a customized product that is seamlessly integrated into the customer's infrastructure. In addition, we are constantly monitoring the updating of the project technology stack in connection with the development of new ones in the field of word processing, optimization of server capacity and solution architecture, "said Fedor Medvedev, Director of the Department of Design Solutions and Search Engines Naumen.
