Career

2017

In November 2017, Bator Tsyrenzhapov was appointed chairman of the ministerial committee for supervision and control in the field of education in the Republic of Buryatia. Previously, this position was held by Valery Pozdnyakov, who in September 2017 was appointed Deputy Minister of Education and Science of the region. Until November 2017, Tsyrenzhapov served as head of the education quality control department in the same committee.

2022

On March 17, 2022, Tsyrenzhapov received a new appointment as Acting Deputy Minister of Education of Buryatia - Chairman of the Committee for General and Additional Education for the Chairman of the Committee for Supervision and Control in Education. It is reported that Deputy Minister Valery Pozdnyakov, who held this post, had become Acting Minister of Education of the Republic of Buryatia by this time.

2023: Dismissal for driving while intoxicated

Acting Deputy Minister of Education of Buryatia Bator Tsyrenzhapov was sent under arrest. The reason for this was the stop of a car driven by Tsyrenzhapov in a state of drug intoxication. The official was detained in Ulan-Ude on Avtomobilists Avenue on the night of July 7, 2023, Kommersant writes.

The traffic police inspector found the behavior of the driver of the Toyota Vitz car suspicious. Since he refused to be examined, he was taken to a drug dispensary. There, an examination showed that he was really under the influence of drugs. In relation to Tsyrenzhapov, a protocol was drawn up under Part 3. Art. 12.8 Administrative Code of the Russian Federation. The magistrate appointed him ten days of administrative arrest. The head of Buryatia, Alexei Tsydenov, instructed to dismiss Tsyrenzhapov for this incident.[1]
