2023: Russia has created a combat drone "Cuckoo," capable of carrying 3 ammunition
On July 18, 2023, it became known that an analog drone "Cuckoo" was developed in Yekaterinburg, which can be used for various purposes. It can be used for reconnaissance or to strike at the enemy.
The arsenal of an unmanned aerial vehicle includes three ammunition - for example, grenades. Control is carried out using a special remote control. The drone is capable of covering a distance of up to 4 km, developing a speed of up to 60-65 km/h. The device weighs a little more than a kilogram. The "cuckoo" has a quadcopter design with four screws mounted on rods.
Two modifications of the drone have been developed: one of them has passed the necessary tests and is ready for serial production, and the second is planned to be patented. The cost of one drone ranges from 200 thousand to 250 thousand rubles, but when organizing a mass production, the price will decrease. The development company is looking for customers. It is assumed that interest in the new product will be quite high, taking into account the current geopolitical situation.
At the same time, on July 20, 2023, the Department of Information Policy of Sverdlovsk the region announced plans to launch the production of drones. The project is being implemented by LLC "Scientific and Production Complex" Energy Systems and Components "(" NPK ESK "). Investments in production at the first stage will amount to approximately 45 million rubles, while the total cost is estimated at 200 million rubles. The release drones will be launched in 2025; the company will be located in the city of Lesny, Sverdlovsk Region.
The region has competencies in the field of design, production, equipment and modernization of equipment for manned and unmanned aerial vehicles. The list of manufacturers will be replenished by the company "NPK ESK," which in 2022 received the status of a resident of the territory of advanced development "Lesnoy," which will allow the company to take advantage of tax preferences, - said the deputy governor of the region Dmitry Ionin.[1] |
