2023: Softline Smart Helmets Pilot Test

Ammoniy JSC conducted a pilot test of smart helmets using the Softline Digital team. During testing, the system monitored the movement and condition of employees, which made it possible to monitor compliance with safety regulations, as well as notify the dispatcher in a timely manner in case of incidents, such as threats to life and health and violation of labor regulations. Softline announced this on August 1, 2023.

The integrated chemical industry complex of Ammoniy JSC is located in Tatarstan. Due to the specifics of production processes, the company is one of the customers who have special requirements for compliance with the requirements of occupational safety and health, including for moving to hazardous areas and performing work with increased danger. Inspired by the experience of advanced production, Ammoniy JSC decided to study the issue of using the personnel positioning system in its production.

After placing the software and hardware complex on the territory of the plant, Softline Digital employees tested the solution for two days.

The system is based on three elements: directly, smart helmets with a radio module, transmitting the signal to the base station, which sends data to the analytical server. In a convenient and intuitive interface, the customer can see the geodata of each employee in real time, which allows him to monitor his presence in hazardous areas, condition, and promptly receive a signal about a dangerous event.

In addition, the system records information about shocks, falls, long-term immobility, temperature in the work area. Also, the functionality of the solution includes monitoring the presence of a helmet on the employee's head, an emergency call for help, notification of operatora/rukovodstva​ about incidents in a convenient form (using instant messengers, mobile communications or e-mail).

One of the main safety vectors for us is the control of the intersection of hazardous areas. All geodata in the demonstrated solution were displayed accurately and correctly, which allows us to talk about the success of the project.
