GL Engineering completes Naumen Enterprise Search pilot

2023: Intelligent Search Pilot Run

GL Engineering conducted a pilot launch of intelligent search based on the Naumen Enterprise Search product. This was announced on August 8, 2023 by Naumen. The pilot solution, which runs on test data, allowed employees to quickly find technical documentation, including files that do not have a text layer. The project catalog implemented in the system, in turn, increased the efficiency of managing accumulated knowledge.

The pilot solution launched on the basis of Naumen Enterprise Search provided GL Engineering specialists with the opportunity to work with a variety of technical documentation in a single window: search according to various information forms and formats (drawings, diagrams, tables, etc.). The technologies used in the system for analyzing data and processing the language made it possible to find even documents that are scanned copies or images by keywords in the content. Product testing within the pilot lasted three months, as a result, GL Engineering employees rated the solution as an intuitive tool for quick access to the knowledge accumulated during the entire operation of the company.

Using the data catalog created during the pilot, specialists were able to sort information by projects implemented in the company. The approach has accelerated the search for specific cases to use in current tasks.
